PRT comment: Lord Laming

Commenting on the sad death of Lord Laming, who chaired PRT’s commission on children in care, or who are care-experienced, in the criminal justice system, Pia Sinha, chief executive of the Prison Reform Trust, said:

He was a distinguished and compassionate public servant whose work on children’s services and safeguarding made a lasting difference. He chaired our commission on children in care, or who are care-experienced, in the criminal justice system with diligence and immense compassion. His commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people will be remembered with great respect.”
