Safeguarding children when sentencing mothers: Scotland
An estimated 27,000 children in Scotland experience parental imprisonment each year.
Dr Shona Minson, in partnership with Community Justice Scotland and Anne Pinkman have created two videos to explain the impact of maternal imprisonment and offer advice to mothers who may be facing the prospect of a custodial sentence.
